I walked a nature reserve this week, in coastal Southern California. As in this Oakland-based poem, Canada Geese entertained me. Will we soon rename them?

I'm so glad you enjoyed my post, LeeAnn. 😊 And thank you for the mention here!

I spent some of my youth living in Canada and was always perplexed as to why I saw more Canadian geese when we came back to the states than when we were actually in Canada. 😂 And the goose you're mentioning sounds like they knew good food when they smelled it.

What a sophisticated palette for a goose! Loved this, thank you for the smile today.

Indeed. Of course the goose probably would have eaten anything!

I sure enjoyed that one. How long ago did you write it? Thanks

It was published in 2008 so I wrote in 2007 or early 2008. I remember the afternoon very clearly, sitting on the bench with my pizza and being accosted by the goose.

They can get very nervy. I laughed at the three day guest thing

Very nice, LeeAnn. Canada geese tend to make me nostalgic. I really like your different take!
